Who are we?
Supported Living Scheme for adults with Learning Disabilities.
What are the main tasks?
Live and work in a supported living service for adults with learning disabilities. Located in one of 11 houses to support with daily living and then also located in day opportunity options for example, farm, garden, wood workshop, weavery, bakery. Also support and engage in cultural and social life of the community.
What do we expect from you?
Basic English language skills, all other training is provided as part of induction.
What knowledge and skills can you gain during the internship?
Social Care experience in the area of supporting adults with learning disbilities, for example maximising independence, empowering person to engage in every day life skills. Also skills from a range of day opportunities as detailed above. Develop communication skills, knowledge of the Camphill ethos.
Do we offer any contribution?
Al meals, accommodation in own room. £160 pocket money per month.
